Avril studied music for 15 years, including four years at university.  She was a percussionist and pianist with a symphony orchestra, and has performed in dance bands, as a lounge pianist, at corporate and private functions, and at sales/promo events.

Repertoire includes classical, standards, pop, blues, folk, new age, country, jazz-inflected anything, and novelty tunes. 

Kid/family friendly, including kids' parties:  with hands-on playing by "The Kids In The Band."

Memorials and palliative care are a very sensitive specialty. 

As well as being a musician, Avril has worked in event planning – so has a first-person awareness of an event planner’s [partyologist’s] needs.

It's all about making the partyologist look brilliant.

When not booked, Avril commits B&Es (busk and entertain) wherever electrical outlets occur. Also takes EMS calls (emergency musical services) when sorrow or stress gives the soul a road-rash.  No joke.  Cheaper than shrinks or lawyers; works better.  Will do housecalls for families;  Turn off the TV and watch "The Piano Channel." 

PERSONAL:

Avril jumped out of a perfectly good airplane, twice, and recommends it.  And for real acts of courage, she’s the mother of two daughters.   Speaks passable Spanish and French.
